8 of 52 Jungle Jim's

Well today not only being Friday February 25 one month before spring fever will be in the air, it is also the perfect day to have another 30+ cm of snow. I think it snows pretty much every Friday since 2011 began. AWESOME... so as a result of the snow we shifted the Rouge and went with something closer to home and open so we ended up at Jungle Jim's.

I had to work tonight so no booze for me however we did follow the plan by asking the recommended drink to the waitress for non alcoholic drink as well as beer. She wasn't really all that into any opinion so I ended up with a Yummy virgin Strawberry Daiquiri and Nat had a Coors light. The waitress we had was the worst one I have had in a while , but food and drinks were good.

Ahhh jungle Jim's what can I say , I love their chicken nachos great place to eat more so than drink , I would return for a meal anytime , this would be good to bring the kids or have a birthday supper with friends , baby shower, work thing... but all in all , I am pretty excited to move past restaurants /eatery places... this is a 2/3 for me.

Next week ... Cheers , I don't think I have ever been in there... we'll see

7 of 52 Mooser's Dieppe

Off to Mooser's tonight , have been to this place since ...maybe 2-3 yrs ago when we celebrated my friend Carol's birthday. Pretty crappy night of downpour but at about 6 ish we were on our way.

This pub/eatery is on Champlain street easy access , in the summer there is a patio on the roof of the building , most people talk about Moosers in terms of good wings on Thursdays.

When we sat down , it was one of our friends who served us , he is an awesome waiter and we know he would play the recommendation game. I ended up drinking Moose Juice and Nat had a (well a few) purple haze. Moose Juice is a 3 liquor mix (I didn't ask) topped with Chocolate Milk, if you like milky drinks you will love this. To top the night off the best server so far on this journey bought us a round of shots , sweet and sour they were called , they were super yummy they tasted like sweetheart candies... I would recommended these when you go to moosers..

All in all , I enjoyed the experience would go back any time. 3/3 for me .. next week Rouge can't wait.

6 of 52 Casino NB

Well , the casino ...yep like all the others I have been too . My mom , dad joined Nat on this adventure , we had a few a bites of food and drinks. Friday is actually wing night and you get about 10 -12 wings for 5$ that in itself is WICKED.

We got there at about 930 -10 got one of the last booths and asked the waitress what she recommended.... and yep Nat had to ask her twice before she said , do you feel like wine , beer or a mixed drink.. that was after Nat told her not to read the menu.. I don't think we are ever going to get a recommendation... Nat had a fruity drink and I had white wine... then a beer.

Gambling tables were full and a pretty good band was playing , people smiling dancing and of course a couple people winning a bunch of cash , this beer trip was easy and would do it again anytime. 3/3

5 of 52 Saxby's Pub and Eatery

After finally finishing the longest week in history Nat and I headed out around 930 this evening we were off on another mission to Saxby's Pub on Pine Glen in Riverview.

Well ..with 4 weeks behind us and trying not to be jaded by our past experiences, I was totally expecting a repeat of last week although many people have told us that this is a good place to go.

As we sat we walked around to see that its actually quite large , lots of good sitting surrounded by TVs , and I couldn't believe it there was an actual a mini casino happening in the back room. I swear about 20-30 machines , and yes I ended up playing and yes I won $150. Fantastic...

The waitress came and after Nat specifically asked for a recommendation , she responded - what do you feel like beer or mixed drink ? Beer was on the menu and I went with  her suggestion of a Rickards white with orange and Nat a bud light. I was happy she actually suggested something. She was a good waitress and I gave her a good tip.

The area is good in a strip mall  with alot of parking clean and the inside has lots of place to sit and hang out , this place would be perfect to watch the Superbowl, MMA match with a gang and have a few pitchers and some grub. I would go there again for sure . 2/3 for me on to the next round... old cosmo next on the agenda...
