Woody's place , I thought I knew where it was until I directed my sister to get off the Riverview bridge and go the wrong way... So ,, to get to this pub it's towards Fundy past the new bridge keep going until you get to the Petro Canada and there is a mini mall that shares the parking lot and then .. yup Woody's place.
Something exciting about tonight is my girl April decided to come out and have a beer with us ,we met there around 930.
Woody's is pretty small actually from the outside I thought it would be bigger , 5 poker machines , 6-9 tables , 2 pool tables and yes that is the just of it . When we got there tonight they were actually having a potluck dinner at the bar , we asked the bartender as per the rules what we should have and she said... " It fireball night and the beer is always good"... so April and I each took a fireball .. WOWZA is all I can say about that , I had a beer and of course April had her regular beer and clamato juice .. everyone I know who tries it .. loves it... Nat had a fuzzy navel .. which I am now calling a fuzzy bellybutton ..
There was a back .. well actually it was a girl who could sing and a pretty drunk back up dude who almost fell a couple of times while trying to keep up with the tune at hand. What I enjoyed the most about this bar was although everyone knew we weren't regulars . They actually treated us like as if we were , the singer even insisted we request a song .. so the Joker was picked and dedicated to April ....
It was a fun place to go with a gang before heading out to a night of dancing or the fireball shot I had really helped out the situation ... and the company definitely helped..
2/3 for me .. next stop Dooley's on Mountain road.....

20 of 52 Iceberg Pub
The Iceberg Pub ... what can I say I can't tell you how many times I have driven by that place and wondered what went on in there , what a weird place for a pub.. how does a place in such a strange location stay open and .. holy smokes look at all those bikes that has got to be a biker bar.
Well tonight on week 20 of the beer blogging , we made it . This pug the Iceberg is on Lewisville Road just before getting to the Shediac Road lights. It's surprisingly small inside almost as small as the end zone, it has a pool table , some sofa's , juke box and the bartender told us on Thursday's its Karaoke.
The bar is always full of regulars from what the bartender said , she mentions that Thursday is the best night, she recommended a beer on sale for $3. I was happy with that and had a Bud Light , Nat had a Coors. This bar is managed by the same group that owns the Miss cue (week 17) and the dog house pub (week 26). We found out that at the dog house , you can actually bring your pooch for a beer .. mmm interesting..
Overall I loved the bartender , on a night that I wasn't exhausted, I could have chatted it up with her all night but the overall atmosphere/experience this pub is definitely an after work stop and have a beer place.
1/3 for me next stop Woody's in Riverview

19 of 52 O'Brien's/Bentleys
This pub can be found on Elmwood drive close directly in between the Pizza Delight and Tim Horton's. I think it actually used to be Dooley's , then O'briens now Bentley's... see the trend here????
Anyhoot as Nat says , we got there about 10pm the place should be hopping right? WRONG , it's dark no lighting outside a couple of people smoking and when we opened the door to in.. there is about 6 people in the place and about 30 empty tables...YIKES ... the good news I ran into an old girlfriend of mine , who was on her way to run an errand but seeing her made this night better.
The waitress wore a blank corset and mini squirt , the guys as the bar could hardly walk and when the waitress spoke , she actually sounded a bit like a waiter... whatever .. what do I know .. We asked for her recommendation and she gave us nothing with the exception of draft being on sale for a pitcher 10$ , I have no idea if that is even a good price... we went with a Coors light .
The place has pool tables for a loonie each play , a stage in the far end for what I assume is for Karaoke , and of course a jukebox cranking out Ozzy .... however either this place has nothing going on or we were way too early to be in there having beer.
I think there are some who would like this place if you wanted to go for a quick beer after work but myself , that will likely be the last time ..of course until the name changes .. ha ha just kidding (maybe)

18 of 52 1755
On Champlain street in Dieppe combined with the horseshoe pub is 1755. When you get in there are about 20 tables , marchines , bar and accross a glass window a place where you can bet of horses. Pretty busy spot full of regulars and at 10pm when we made our entrance , most people seemed in desperate need of getting a taxi to get to home, I guess the night started early for them.
The waitress was fantastic but didn't have an opinion on what to drink , funny while we were sitting there deciding , we actually we rec'd a warning text not to use the washrooms there and to be honest I was too afraid to check. But I suppose most of the folks there didn't mind considering it was a revolving door. Nat decided to have a vodka and 7up and I had a coors light.
It was packed of regulars and through the glass windows a pretty large number of people who bet on horses. It is really unbelievable there was about 20 people in that room , big $$ being gambled in there for sure.
The place was ok , but not my kind of hangout, I don't think its on our list to return any time soon without a good reason . 1/3
