25 of 52 Morton Pub

Morton Pub is found right beside McDonald's on Morton Ave. It's covered with advertising so you can pretty much plan your whole week around it if you wanted to. It's been a shitty day nothing but rain on another Saturday .. we are hoping this beer will help.

I found out by a work colleague that they server food at this place so we decided to bring the beer blog into the day a bit earlier and got there about 5pm.

It was pretty much from my eyes a restaurant more than a beer joint , filled with folks about 20 yrs older then me all interested in the 2 can dine fish and chip special. We asked the bartender what she recommended and to no surprise to me at this point. She hadn't a clue what to offer .. I ended up with a coors light so did Nat.

We ate drank our beer and we were out of there. This is a perfect spot for a supper night out with friends, wing night.. Nat enjoyed it .. while me ..not really into returning without a solid reason.

1/3 for me .. next up pump house ..

24 of 52 Manhattan

This was our 2nd attempt to try and have a beer at the Manhattan. This bar is located downtown directly across from the Farmers' market/City Grill on Westomorland.

So here is the scoop if you are looking for a live band you can see one here each Friday but it will cost you 10$ to get in .Saturday's its free for women (awesome), there was a guy with a guitar on stage signing alot of Tom Petty but there is a dance bar that you also have access to . Oxygen night club AKA ...02

We got there about 10 30 , the inside of this place has the feel of you are on the outside on a street patio, the walls are made to look you are sitting out on a street with street signs, apartments for rent , and the bartender is there like a regular street vendor.

The bartender's name was Chris , he told us about the bar shots for 2.65$ and at that price , I had rye and OJ while Nat had vodka a cranberry. Chris bought us one round as well as a Jägerbomb (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/J%C3%A4gerbomb) for me , Nat , himself and his helper.  And ignoring our instincts... bottoms up it was... and I now know I am not a big fan of those drinks...

This is a great place for watching a live band . 2/3 for me.. next stop Morton Pub.

23 of 52 Igloo

Well we were actually supposed to go to the manhattan tonight but when we got the it actually cost $10 per person to get in , its because there is a band every Friday , so if you are into watching a band  manhattan is the place.

For us we simply wanted to have a beer and $10 each was too much so we swapped out for the Igloo. The igloo is a university pub on Morton ave, usually has love music and good relaxed atmosphere. Free to get in as well which is right up my alley.

The bartender told us it was $8 pitchers so Melanie and I went for that while Nat had a coors light in the bottle , the band BBMB - big bad martin band who are pretty good and it was pretty packed .

We enjoyed this place and would go back anytime
3/3

22 of 52 Dooley's

Being out of town on Friday and with a crazy exam around the corner tonight's Saturday night blog festivities were going to be short and sweet so that I could get home and get back to the books.

Around 1030 I met up with Nat and Mekonnen at Dooley's on Mountain Road , this is one of the nicest pool hall's in Moncton so I knew it was going to be good , the sign even has a logo of good times good friends...

It was packed we were able to get a pool table which cost 10$ or so an hour , the recommendation for me was virgin 7up but Nat ended up with a recommended Make up drink which included rum , vodka , 7up , grenadine and pineapple .. it is the drink with no name. I stayed for two games , won both and decided to leave... you got to leave when you are on top.. yes?

This place is great to go out on a date , out with a gang of friends, I love it , one of my favorites for sure 3/3 would go back anytime.. but the next time , booze will be on the agenda.
