This week I was sent to Newfoundland to work and complete some training and funny thing , this is the same week of the George Street Festival and Great Big Sea was kicking it off so what a better place to blog.

If you have never been to St-John's you must try and get there at least once, it's beautiful and after a week you actually might understand what the locals are talking about..."by"
If you don't know or haven't ever heard of George St, it's basically one street with nothing but pubs and you have the opportunity to be "screeched in" as a local Newfoundlander all you need to do is :
1) drink screech
2) sing the proud to be a Newfoundlander song
3) kiss ...basically make out with a cod
I completed 3 blogs this week all on George Street , if you get my drift , I think I am still hungover to be honest with you.
The first place was at a Green sleeves , two of my colleagues joined my friend Shelley and I . We had some delicious Seafood and sat on a deck listening to a bad singer trying to be the next Keith Urban .. sorry about your luck pal.. he sucked. We asked the waitress and funny even over in Newfoundland , the girl had zero opinion .. so .. Stella is was.
Two nights later Shelley and I made our way to Yellow Belly Brewery and this place was AWESOME, it had great food , jammed packed and the bartender offered us up some homemade brew as a suggestion and I ended up with a pale ale and my girl Shelley had a Red Ale, then a Pale Ale , then a glass of Merlot... needless to say we were there a bit.
The next night was the cream of the crop , we started at a BBQ and then off to George Street where we ended up at Green sleeves again but this time accompanied by the Fantastic music of great big see. This Festival is basically 4 nights of concerts and once you get through the gates you have access to all the bars on the street , there is music a bunch of people once of the best times ever.
It's well worth the trip to the ROCK ... what are you at?
3 out of 3 , next stop plan B....
